This is technically my first blog post &#8211; from 2012. It took 3 years, but I finally got here.<\/p>\n<p>For months, one of my partners and I were planning a Turkish coffee night at Starbucks. I was in charge of the food (naturally) and I made a huge spread of my take on Turkish sweets. One of my favorite things I made were these turkish coffee cookies. Coffee, chocolate and cardamom all rolled in to one delicious cookie!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>These cookies were actually sandwiched between rosewater and pistachio ice cream, but they were so good on their own, so I have to share!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-859\" src=\"https:\/\/themodernbarista.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tmb_turkish3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themodernbarista.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tmb_turkish3.jpg 800w, https:\/\/themodernbarista.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tmb_turkish3-300x159.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\" data-rating=\"0\">\t<link itemprop=\"image\" href=\"https:\/\/themodernbarista.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/tmb_turkish2-272x300.jpg\" \/>\n<div class=\"item ERName\">turkish coffee chocolate chip cookies<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\"><span class=\"xlate\">Recipe Type<\/span>: <span class=\"type\">cookies<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Author: <span class=\"author\">Jocelyn Freeman<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 packages of Italian roast VIA<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tablespoon ground cardamom<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 1\/4 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teaspoon baking soda<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3\/4 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3\/4 cup packed brown sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 cups mini chocolate chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">preheat oven to 375\u00b0 F.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, VIA, cardamom and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
