Starbucks and Girl Scout cookie pairings

Today is #nationalgirlscoutday so in honor of that, I decided to revive my little corner of the web. 🙂 This is the 7th year I have done this pairing chart, which is mindblowing to me. Over half the cookies are also vegan, which is even more mindblowing 🙂

I am going to try and be more present here. I really miss doing coffee tastings, and I miss sharing my thoughts with all of you.

It’s cookie season, and I have been seeing posts on facebook about pairing wine with Girl Scout cookies (which is always a good idea!) I did a search for Girl Scout cookies and Starbucks coffees, and was surprised to see that no one had made up a tasting sheet! So here it is, my personal recommendations for Starbucks core coffees with Girl Scout cookies.

Theo chocolates + Starbucks

Theo chocolate is based in Seattle’s Fremont district. They make the most incredible chocolates! Starbucks was testing Theo peanut butter cups in select stores, and my friend Melody went to Theo chocolate to get an up close and personal tour. During her tour, she sent me a message, saying she needed my address “right now”. I sent it along, and a few days later, a huge box of chocolates was on my doorstep, compliments of Theo chocolate. Thank you Theo chocolate & Melody! I put together a coffee tasting with the seven chocolates I was sent (actually, there is one missing because I had to taste test it 🙂 )…

My friend Melody asked me if I could help her out with a coffee tasting with Chuao chocolates. Obviously, this was a no brainer.

I have been a huge fan of Chuao chocolates for a long time, and was absolutely delighted when we started selling them at Starbucks! I love their unique flavor combinations, and there are so many different kinds that could work well with our coffees. Since we started carrying these, I have been sampling them with our coffees at the register. So this was a fun project for me to take on!
